To get what you never had, you got to do what you've never done.

The Issues

Healthcare

Making sure that the City workers have a comprehensive plan that provides adequate care and does not burden their pockets.

Environment

Planting more trees, hiring youth and available residents to keep our streets clean

Property Tax/Rent

Work with the Governor to restore the tax rebates once given to all homeowners every year, revisiting the tax and water rates

Infrastructure

Establish a watch team to make sure that the work being done in the City is monitored and reported

Fiscal Management

Transparency of all budgeted funds and expenditures by qualified personnel; no more paying exorbitant salaries to four people for one position; cutting ridiculous salaries and giving the funds to DPW and sanitation workers

Economic Development

All developments will be based on what is being provided for the residents of Newark; providing jobs and truly affordable housing.

Affordability

No longer using the HUD nor Essex County AMI's for low to moderate income housing

Education

Work with the BOE to ensure that the 1.5 Billion dollars gets used properly for our children's education and enrichment.

Housing

Rescinding the ordinance which allows individuals to build anything, anywhere, thus overcrowding our City

Slumlords

Amend/Rescind the ordinance that allows the landlords to raise the rent up to 5% every year.
